 New Year’s Day is also simply called New Year or New Year s , is observed on January 1, the first day of the year on the modern Gregorian calendar as well as the Julian calendar.

 

 Palm Sunday is a Christian moveable feast that falls on the Sunday before Easter. The feast commemorates Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem, an event mentioned in each of the four canonical Gospels.

 

 Easter is also called Pascha (Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. Easter is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by (Lent or Great Lent), a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.

 

 Labour Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers. Labour Day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.

 

 Independence Day is a national holiday that is celebrated in Jordan on May 25 which commemorates the Jordanian Parliament s ratification of the Treaty of London on 25 May 1946. The act represented the end of the Emirate of Transjordan as a British protectorate and the declaration of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

 

 Eid al-Fitr is also called the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. This religious Eid is the first and only day in the month of Shawwal during which Muslims are not permitted to fast.

 

 Eid al-Adha isalso called the "Festival of Sacrifice", is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God s command.

 

 The Islamic New Year is also known as Arabic New Year or Hijri New Year, is the day that marks the beginning of a new Hijri year, and is the day on which the year count is incremented. The first day of the year is observed on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar.

 

 Birth of Prophet Muhammad - Muhammad in (Arabic: مُحمّد‎, pronounced [muħammad], c. 570 CE – 8 June 632 CE) was the founder of Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet, sent to present and confirm the monotheistic teachings preached previously by Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. He is viewed as the final prophet of God in all the main branches of Islam, though some modern denominations diverge from this belief. Muhammad united Arabia into a single Muslim polity, with the Quran as well as his teachings and practices forming the basis of Islamic religious belief. Born approximately 570 CE (Year of the Elephant) in the Arabian city of Mecca, Muhammad was orphaned at the age of six.
