The General of the Department of Antiquities Fadi Balawi announced during a press conference the important archaeological discovery in Jordan of a 9,000-year-old archaeological capsule.

For his part, Dr. Atef Al-Kharabsheh, President of Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, said that the discovery of these antiquities has been continued in the Eastern Badiya within the Ma an Governorate for 10 years.

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al-Fayez said that Jordan is distinguished by archaeological sites of global importance, pointing out that Jordan is facing an important archaeological discovery.

For their part, those responsible for the discovery said that the first stone traps were discovered and consisted of long walls converging towards the walls of large rooms and were discovered for the first time at the beginning of the twentieth century

They added that the results revealed camps containing rooms, which were called the Ghassanien culture, and it was discovered that the goal of the traps is deer hunting.

Those responsible for the discovery pointed out that rocks in the shape of a human face were found, and the first piece was named “Ghassan” and the largest piece “Abu Ghassan.”
